Inspired by the legendary 230-foot long Bayeux Tapestry, artist Aled Lewis has created an epic cross-stitched tapestry depicting the Star Wars saga from Episode 1 through Episode 6, with quotes from each film stitched in Aurebesh on the surrounding border. “The Coruscant Tapestry” is hand-stitched cotton thread on 30 feet of continuous length, 7-stitch-per-inch Klostern fabric. It didn’t take Lewis quite as long as 30 years to create this, he created each scene on his laptop before transferring the design to the cloth, and completed it in about six months.

A bargain at only $20,000, The Coruscant Tapestry is currently on display at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles.
