Here he is discussing ploughing fields, Vienna’s traditional whore race, his mother’s Commission On Chastity, looking into the misbehaviour of the Viennese upper classes, visiting Versailles in disguise. Reportedly he asked that his epitaph read, “Here lies Joseph II, who failed in all he undertook.” He may have failed, but it sounds like he had a great time doing so.
