British street artist, Banksy, is causing quite a sensation during his residency in New York. He is creating a new piece of work every day for his live exhibition, Better Out Than In. On October 13th he revealed on his website, “Yesterday I set up a stall in the park selling 100 per cent authentic original signed Banksy canvases. For $60 each,” he wrote. “Please note: This was a one off. The stall will not be there again today.”

The total takings were $420 USD, despite the sold art being worth an estimated $300,000+. Eight paintings were sold, with a woman from New Zealand bought two paintings for $120, which for their size would be valued at $40,000 each. Watch the video Bansky released below to see the day unfold.
