BBC has released the full interview with George R.R. Martin at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. There are some great in-depth questions on his writing in the interview portion (I wish we’d had interviewers like this when George toured Australia last year). George discussed his usual historical and literary influences and his early science fiction writing. He also discussed Stan Lee saying that “Stan Lee introduced a whole concept of characterisation to comic books and conflict”. There’s about twenty minutes with the interviewer followed by fan questions. Watch below.
