The first trailer for Wonder Woman premiered at Comic-Con today (Saturday 23rd July on the other side of the world) after Gal Gadot shared the first poster on her Twitter feed yesterday ahead of the Comic-Con panel.

The official synopsis reads:

Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior.

Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and penned by by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns. Along with Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, the film stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe, Mayling Ng as Orana and Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui and Elena Anaya in undisclosed roles.
