Ape does not kill ape

20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Andy Serkis will reprise his role as Caesar in the second instalment in the reboot of the original Planet of the Apes series. The film will also star Australian actor Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, The Great Gatsby), Gary Oldman and Keri Russell (Austenland, Dark Skies), with director Matt Reeves at the helm.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes takes place ten years after a deadly virus has wiped out much of the human race. Caesar and his apes have been living in peace in their new home, which is now threatened by the human survivors.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier.

They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
