Goodreads CEO Otis Chandler posted an announcement on their Facebook Page this morning that they have gone into partnership with Satan Amazon.

We truly could not think of a more perfect partner for Goodreads as we both share a love of books and an appreciation for the authors who write them.

That was deadpan. I’m impressed.

The announcement has sparked outrage amongst many Goodreads members, concerned that Amazon will have access to their book collections, will attempt to police book reviews, and that they already own and neglect Shelfari (no I had never heard of it either).

What does this mean for Goodreads members?

Something, something, Kindle.
