Season Two of Game of Thrones has been downloaded illegally 25 million times, making it the most pirated program ever. Obviously Foxtel is catching up this year, fast-tracking the show and airing it only a few hours after the US.

In an interview with The Telegraph, George talks his many girlfriends, thinks 16 character viewpoints is pushing it (‘I’m going to have to kill some off, it’s too many’), counters complaints that the books and the HBO series have too much sex (‘Sex is an important part of life; it’s something that gives our lives meaning, for good or for ill, so I think it should be there and should be shown.’) and sighs over the demands of his restless fanbase (‘they don’t like me doing anything other than writing’)
